Entrepreneurship Cell at IIT Madras believes that entrepreneurship is not just about starting companies, but a pathway towards India’s socio-economic development. It will help raise the quality of life in our country by enabling the youth and creating jobs for everyone. Our vision is to make students and faculty ‘entrepreneurial’ in every work that they do. We hope to enable them to solve global challenges as we see students as the greatest capital and intend to nurture them, provide them with opportunities for excellence.
Entrepreneurs are those people who are willing to take the risks to make their dream come true. But walking down the entrepreneurial road is not a cake walk. There are many imperceptible risks involved, with which if not dealt properly, could bring you back to scratch. Thankfully that is not the case in IITM. We have more sophisticated suspensions on this rough road. The Entrepreneurship - Cell (or E-Cell) along with the Team CFI, Incubation cell and Nirmaan are striving hard to make your journey smooth.

Not only do we show you the doors of opportunity but we also equip you to walk through it. We connect you to entrepreneurial resources through various events such as seminars, workshops, webinars, start-up showcases, networking opportunities with industry leaders, peers, and potential companions and help sustain the entrepreneurial spirit through inspirational talks and mentoring platforms.
